SeedMaster-4 is a unique crystallization transmitter which allows for accurate in-line and real-time monitoring and control of supersaturation over the complete process of crystallization.
Supersaturation
The most important parameter of crystallization is supersaturation. That is the driving force of crystal growth. If supersaturation is too low, crystals will not grow. If it is too high, spontaneous nucleation will happen, ruining product quality.
To achieve the highest possible product quality, supersaturation must be kept in an optimal range. To control it, we need to know its value: accurately, in real time, throughout the whole batch. We designed the SeedMaster instruments for this purpose.
SeedMaster-4
SeedMaster instruments provide real-time, online data on supersaturation and other key crystallization parameters. The provided data can be used to implement the supersaturation-based control of the crystallization process. Optionally, SeedMaster itself can include the control implementation.
Using this type of control, it is possible to radically improve the crystallization process, resulting in better crystal size distribution, efficiency, and yield.
